Sylvia, the daughter of Kele Leikin Bodovsky and Wolf Bodovsky was born in 1926 and lived in the same neighbourhood in Lowertown until 1964. Hers is a story of her life and those of her family and neighbours in what was the core of the Ottawa Jewish Community; spanning a period that includes the amazing growth that took place in the time after World War II. There are highlights of life in the Market and local Jewish business as well as a look at her far reaching family tree.
